Grace: My Week at 2C

Spending a week at 2C Digital gave me a crash course in the fast-paced world of digital marketing—far beyond what I expected from an English degree at UWE. With little experience applying my written skills in a professional setting, I was eager to see how my coursework would translate into real-world copywriting. By the end of the week, I had gained practical experience and confidence that will no doubt help me in future opportunities.

From the moment I arrived, it was clear that 2C Digital is far from a traditional, stuffy office. The team works in a modern, innovative, and relaxed environment that made me feel instantly part of the team.

I was thrown straight into projects by Director Sara. My first task was writing a piece on the top digital marketing blogs, which taught me the fundamentals of the industry. I then wrote a blog celebrating 2C’s one-year anniversary and reworked copy for their LinkedIn bio. Later, I stepped out of my comfort zone by crafting website copy, paid social posts for clients, and content for their pitch decks.

It was clear throughout the week that 2C Digital is an up-and-coming agency. The team and website were undergoing exciting stages of expansion, and I felt included in the anticipation of what their second year would bring. Sara is dedicated to providing interns with meaningful work—you won’t be making teas or filing on this placement!

Overall, my week at 2C Digital was both enjoyable and educational. I would highly recommend their work experience placements—not only for those pursuing digital marketing, but also for anyone interested in copywriting, social media, or public relations. The experience has equipped me with insight into both the industry and the professional world.
